Some couples you just click with from the very beginning. Chelsie and Cade are that kind of couple. I first met them at a Christmas tree farm mini session back in 2024, shot their engagement in 2025, and then got to be there for their wedding day in 2026. By the time their Monroe on 415th wedding came around, it felt less like a job and more like showing up for my friends.
And what a day it was.
Fun fact: Chelsie and Cade had actually already been married for a year before this day. But if you looked at them during that ceremony, you would never have known. They were just as present, just as emotional, and just as in it as if it were the very first time.

The Monroe on 415th wedding experience starts the moment you walk in. The venue has this beautiful, airy quality to it. High ceilings, tons of natural light, clean white walls that let the details do the talking. For Chelsie and Cade’s spring wedding, that light was everything. It was such a perfect & sunny spring day that made every photo feel effortless.

The ceremony took place in the chapel, which has this cozy warmth to it despite the clean, modern aesthetic. It feels intimate even when it’s full of people, and it photographs so beautifully because of all the natural light pouring in.

Before the ceremony, Chelsie and Cade did a first look, and both of their moms were there to watch. I love when families get to be part of that moment (if that’s what they want, of course). There’s something about watching your child see their person for the first time on their wedding day that just breaks everyone open (in the best way lol). The emotions were so real.

They also read their vows to each other privately. It’s one of those decisions that seems small in the planning process but ends up being such a meaningful part of the day. By the time they walked down the aisle, they were already settled into each other. It made the whole ceremony feel so calm and joyful.

Chelsie and Cade went with a soft, pastel palette: dusty blue linens, white roses, greenery, tapered candles in acrylic holders, gold flatware. The tables felt elegant, and the natural light streaming through the windows made everything glow. Every detail felt considered without feeling overdone.
And then there was the cake. Chelsie made it herself. I don’t know what I love more. The fact that she did it, or the fact that it was actually so beautiful. These kind of personal details that make a wedding feel completely & unmistakably yours.

The reception was everything a reception should be. Full of people who actually wanted to be there, dancing, laughing, and not ready for the night to end. The groom’s stepdad tied his tie around his head at some point, their nephew got to play DJ for a while. These are the moments I live for as a documentary wedding photographer.
These two are just easy. Easy to be around, easy to photograph, easy to root for. They’ve been so kind and supportive since day one and I couldn’t be more grateful. When couples are truly happy and relaxed, you can feel it in the photos — and you can absolutely feel it here.

Chelsie and Cade, thank you for letting me be part of three years of your story. It has been such a joy from the very beginning. I can’t wait to continue photographing all of the milestones to come.

My couples usually tell me the same thing: having me at their wedding felt easy. Like they could actually be present and soak everything in, knowing someone was paying attention without needing anything from them.
That's the whole point.
You're not hiring me to direct you through a shot list or make you perform for the camera. You're hiring me to document your day as it unfolds. The way your mom looked at you during your vows. The toast that made everyone lose it. The moment you two finally exhaled and realized you were married.
If you're planning something outdoorsy, intimate, or a little adventurous, if you value natural moments, and want a photographer who feels more like a friend than a stranger with a camera, then you're in the right place.
You get to laugh, cry, and actually experience what's happening on your wedding day. I make sure nothing slips by. Your photos feel real because the energy behind them was real. No forcing, no performing. Just you, living your day.
Tell me about your day - where it's happening, what you're envisioning, what matters most to you. I'll get back to you with availability, pricing, and we can figure out if we're a good fit.
I only take on a limited number of weddings each year, so if your date is coming up, don't wait to reach out.
