I've had a camera in my hand since I was a kid. Film cameras, disposables, documenting everything with my friends. I got my first digital camera as a teenager after my mom got tired of me stealing hers. I took photos of everything - random moments, inside jokes, things that felt important at the time. Looking back at those photos now, they still hit.
After college, I took a winding path to get here - NASA, a ballroom dance studio, a few state lines. Eventually I landed on wedding photography and it made sense why nothing else ever worked out.
These days I live in Tennessee with my husband and our dog Duncan, who is arguably more popular on my Instagram account than I am. I love hiking, a good patio happy hour, and people who don't take themselves too seriously. If that sounds like you, we'll probably get along great.
The best photos happen when you're relaxed and being yourselves. My job is to create that space - so you can trust me with your photos and focus on enjoying your day.
I pick up on what most people miss. The way someone looks at you when they think nobody's watching. The light shifting. The moments that matter before they're gone.
Composition, light, landscape - it all plays a role in telling your story. Your photos should show the place was part of your day, not just a backdrop.
I'm fully there, paying attention to everything happening around you. And you get to be fully there too - not worried about whether I'm getting the shot.
I get to live my dream life because of this work. I make art for a living, I travel, I meet incredible people, and I document love and celebration. That's not lost on me.
But here's what really gets me - you're trusting me with something that matters. You're letting me into one of the most important days of your life. That's huge. You're not just hiring someone to take photos. You're inviting someone into your wedding day, into your family, into moments that are never going to happen again.
I don't take that lightly. Every wedding is different. Every couple has their own story, their own vibe, their own thing. And my job is to pay attention to all of it - the big moments and the small ones - and give you something that actually reflects what your day felt like.
That trust is what drives everything I do.
