There are venues you shoot once and move on from, and then there are venues you find yourself thinking about long after the wedding day is over. Long Hollow Gardens in Gallatin, Tennessee is the second kind.
I’ve photographed a few weddings here over the years and it’s genuinely one of my favorite venues in the Nashville area. Here’s why.
It’s hard to put into words what makes Long Hollow Gardens feel different, but I’ll try. The whole property is lush and botanical — gardens and greenery EVERYWHERE you look. There’s a vineyard on site. The reception space is essentially a giant greenhouse, which sounds simple but is actually stunning in person. It’s the kind of venue where every corner you turn, there’s something beautiful to photograph. As a photographer, that’s everything.

It also has a really distinct personality. It doesn’t feel like a generic event space that could be anywhere. For couples who want something outside of downtown Nashville without sacrificing beauty or character, Long Hollow Gardens is hard to beat. It feels like somewhere specific and intentional. Couples who book here tend to care about the details, and the venue reflects that back at them.
Ceremonies at Long Hollow Gardens are held outdoors, which means you’re fully surrounded by the property’s natural beauty when you exchange your vows. In the fall especially, the grounds are breathtaking.

One thing worth knowing: if your wedding is midday and the sun is out in full force, the light can be harsh. It’s just the reality of an outdoor venue with no overhead cover. That said, it’s absolutely still worth it. Golden hour at Long Hollow Gardens is something else entirely. If you can time even part of your portrait session for that window of light, do it. You won’t regret it.
Simply put, Long Hollow Gardens is a dream to shoot. The greenhouse reception space gives you soft, diffused light even when the sun is bright outside. The vineyard adds texture and depth to portraits. The botanical details throughout the property mean there’s never a shortage of interesting backdrops.

Fall is a particularly magical time to get married there. The colors, the light, the overall warmth of the season — it all works together in a way that makes the photos feel so alive. It’s honestly one of my favorite times of year to be a Nashville wedding photographer, and Long Hollow Gardens in November is a big reason why.

If you’re drawn to venues that feel organic, botanical, and a little bit romantic without being over the top, Long Hollow is probably your place. It’s intimate enough to feel personal but beautiful enough to leave your guests genuinely impressed. And if you’re someone who cares about your photos, it’s one of the best decisions you can make from a purely visual standpoint.

Located just outside of Nashville in Gallatin, it’s a really accessible option for couples in the area who want something outside of downtown but don’t want to travel far.

My couples usually tell me the same thing: having me at their wedding felt easy. Like they could actually be present and soak everything in, knowing someone was paying attention without needing anything from them.
That's the whole point.
You're not hiring me to direct you through a shot list or make you perform for the camera. You're hiring me to document your day as it unfolds. The way your mom looked at you during your vows. The toast that made everyone lose it. The moment you two finally exhaled and realized you were married.
If you're planning something outdoorsy, intimate, or a little adventurous, if you value natural moments, and want a photographer who feels more like a friend than a stranger with a camera, then you're in the right place.
You get to laugh, cry, and actually experience what's happening on your wedding day. I make sure nothing slips by. Your photos feel real because the energy behind them was real. No forcing, no performing. Just you, living your day.
Tell me about your day - where it's happening, what you're envisioning, what matters most to you. I'll get back to you with availability, pricing, and we can figure out if we're a good fit.
I only take on a limited number of weddings each year, so if your date is coming up, don't wait to reach out.
